Blizzard
Overwatch Juno
Every journey starts somewhere.

The newest Overwatch 2 hero, Juno, is officially here. This was our first collaboration
with Blizzard, and we couldn’t be happier with the journey through Juno’s story.

Blizzard challenged us to introduce a new character within a unique narrative. Throughout the entire production process, our team worked closely with the Blizzard crew, who brought a high level of professionalism and helped us grow at every step.
All the animation was produced in 3D with a 2D-inspired look, all in high-end quality, showcasing the character’s personality in every detail.

The character was born from an internal idea. The art director Dion Rogers told Polygon that the game design team had a really cool concept for a character with abilities that felt like those of a fighter pilot, with lock-on missiles and targeting systems. “But we knew we wanted a support hero next. So we thought, ‘How can we combine this idea of a fighter pilot or space-ranger-style hero with the gameplay kit that the game design team was sharing?’” he said. After that, they began designing her mech suit, and then it was our turn to tell the story of this space ranger.

So, welcome to earth, Juno!
